Our Website
Trucoaches (www.trucoaches.com) is a open forum based website that is purposed to provide the user with user generated content on collegiate athletic coaches via predetermined rating criteria and a text portion.
Ratings given to coaches should only be by past or current players/parents that have had first hand experience by playing directly on the respective coaches team, attended clinics, lessons, or any other related sports activities that showcase the coaches ability to coach, train, educate, or mentor.
If a coach is associated with more than one sport, you are limited to one rating per sport. More than one rating that you post for a coach per sport will result in the ratings being removed and your account terminated.
The TruCoaches website (www.trucoaches.com) is not and should not be used to report any illegal or dangerous activity. Users are not permitted to promote illegal behavior or ideology on TruCoaches.
Our Process
Each rating that is submitted to a coaches page is looked at and approved by our team before it is published to our website. This process can take up to 48 hours before a rating is published. This is essential and what makes TruCoaches Tru! We strive to have only relevant and honest ratings that are valuable to our user base. If a rating does not fit our guidelines, we remain the right to withhold the comment from being published or delete any ratings.
We are not perfect and may publish a rating that you feel does not comply with our guidelines. If this is the case, please report the rating by clicking the flag in the upper right hand corner on the rating you want to report. A second option is to email us at contact@trucoaches.com with the school, sport, coach, and the specific rating you are referring to paired with reasoning. From this, our team will take a close look and determine if the rating complies with our guidelines or not.
Rating Report:
To report a rating that does not follow our website guidelines for both a user posting a rating and a coach posting a reply, please click the report flag in the top right corner of the rating you would like to report.
Rating Guidelines:
- Each rating you post should be with the utmost integrity. We value accurate and Tru ratings that YOU post so people viewing a coaches profile can get an accurate picture of players/parents' experience with them.
- Try to leave emotion at the door when posting a rating. Base your rating on facts and your sole experience rather than an attack on the coaches race, how they dress, etc.
- When posting a rating, think what you would find most important and valuable if you were inquiring about this coach.
- Each rating should be its own and should not have any tie to a previous rating. This is not an open discussion forum but rather a share your experience forum. If ratings are feeding off another or attacking another, the rating will be taken down.
- Things not tolerated in a rating: Profanity, racist dialog, dialog attacking gender and or disabilities. A rule of thumb to follow is if it is not socially acceptable then it should not be included in your rating.
Ratings containing any of the following listed will be taken down and the account associated terminated:
- URLs or any Hyperlinks
- Accusations that the coach has committed or engaged in illegal or scandalous activities
- Accusations or hearsay about a coaches performance record that was not experienced first hand
- Contains information about the coaches personal life, information, or family
- Any personal contact information that would lead to an infringement on personal space
- Referencing a past, current, or future player
- Dialog containing aggressive or derogatory remarks on gender, sexuality, appearance, disabilities, age, race, ethnicity
- Contains profanity, name-calling, has intentions to be vulgar and or malicious
Coach Guidelines:
- If you are dissatisfied with a rating or your current overall rating on our website, we do not take any down per request unless it violates our ratings guidelines.
- To get the most out of your TruCoaches experience, we advise you to create a coaches account so you can respond to reviews in a positive way and monitor your ratings.
- Self rating by creating false accounts to boost your coaches profile rating is against our guidelines. Instead, encouraging your past and current players/parents to leave a rating is the best practice.
- Coaches responses to ratings are also to follow the same guidelines as a user does when posting a rating.
