The position of a coach can be strenuous and difficult to define due to the balancing of multiple responsibilities, managing expectations, and continuous learning. Furthermore, measuring all the various aspects of being a coach can be difficult to categorize. The overall score is a chance for users to rate their coaches total ability regardless of category.

In a coaching context, communication skills refer to the ability of a coach to effectively convey information, ideas, and feedback to their players. Additional communication skills of a coach can include active listening, providing constructive feedback, giving clear instructions, body language, and tone of voice.
